About:Das Minimal, House & Techno Trio N/UM stammt aus New York (USA). Vor allem Streicher, Vocals, sowie Analoge Synthesizer und Drum Machines sind die Hauptelemente von N/UM. Die perfomance des Trios beruht auf der Improvisation, weder Vor-Kompositionen noch vorgefertigte Strukturen. Inspiriert vom Jazz des 20. Jahrhunderts, versuchen sie mit jeder performance eine neue "suite" zu schreiben, welche ständig Offenheit, Zufall und Interaktion in einem ganz anderen Stil und Format erfordert. Die drei Mitglieder von N/UM haben unterschiedliche musikalische Wurzeln. Jeremy Loucas ist ist 5-facher sound-engineer sowie producer Gewinner des Grammys, der bereits viele Jahre als DJ in der Untergrund-Szene in NY bekannt ist. Elias Meister kommt aus dem Jazz, dem Rock, der experimentellen Gitarrenmusik und spielt Bass mit vielen Jahren Erfahrung im Bereich der freien und improvisierten Musik. Emil Bovbjerg ist Songwriter, Vocalist und Producer/DJ, welcher bereits viel Erfahrung sowohl in der Orchestrierung als auch im zeitgenössischen arrangieren und Komponieren von Musik mit sich bringt. /// N/UM is a New York based Minimal, House & Techno influenced trio that uses stringed instruments, voices, analog synthesizers and drum machines. Each performance or recording is improvised, with no pre-composed songs, no plan or structure agreed upon. Inspired by the jazz innovators of the mid to late 20th century, they commit to write a new “suite” with every performance, which necessitates an openness to chance and interaction in a very different style and format. The three members of N/UM come from a variety of musical backgrounds. – Jeremy Loucas is a five time Grammy winning sound engineer and producer with years spent as a DJ in the underground party scene in NY, Elias Meister is a jazz, rock and experimental guitarist and bass player with a decade of performance experience in free and improvised music, and Emil Bovbjerg is a songwriter, vocalist and producer/DJ with a background in orchestration and contemporary arranging and composition. |
