About:Caramel Mafia - Vom Partyanimal zum DJ: Das trifft Caramel Mafias Entwicklung am besten. Zum Auflegen ist der Musikjunkie aus Berlin vor allem aus Trotz gekommen: "Mich hat irgendwann die Vorhersehbarkeit der Sets von vielen DJ's genervt. Überraschungen gab es selten“. Sein Job als Radiomoderator bei Sendern wie 98.8 Kiss.FM, DASDING oder Yourzz.Fm motivierte ihn zusätzlich, denn auch dort stand Musik für ihn im Mittelpunkt. Ganz nach dem Motto "Imma make you dance, sucka!" rockt er mit allem zwischen R&B, HipHop, Afrobeats, Trap und einer Prise Electro. Dieser Mix kommt an: So konnte Caramel Mafia bereits national und international spielen und wurde von den Szenemagazinen Siegessäule und Kaltblut zum DJ des Monats gewählt. Aber auch außerhalb von Deutschland konnte der sympathische Wahlberliner von sich reden machen: So legte er 2015 für Vapiano beim Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) auf, wurde im darauffolgenden Jahr von der Holländischen Fernsehsendung „College 010“ portraitiert und spielte beim 50. Geburtstag von Electro-Clash-Legende Peaches. // With a decade radio hosting under his belt, Caramel Mafia has also been a club DJ for 8 years. A regular resident of Berlin’s biggest HipHop and RnB clubs, he plays across Germany and Europe. Caramel Mafia is a regular in magazines, being DJ of the Month in Siegessäule and Blu. His mixtape "The Late night special vol. 2" hit the top 10 of the Mixcloud-charts and drew attention his way. In spring 2016 the Dutch TV show "College 010" introduced Caramel Mafia to its audience following his life for a week and shadowed his first show in Rotterdam. In the same year Electroclash-Legend Peaches booked Caramel Mafia to play at her 50th birthday party. In 2017 he introduced “Ratchet” in Berlin, his own club night, which is proving to be a popular feature on the Berlin circuit! |
